Who we are

- Website: Homirecipes (homirecipes.com)
- Operated by: [TO COMPLETE: full legal name of the person or company that runs Homirecipes]
- Postal address: [TO COMPLETE: postal address]

For questions about this policy, or to exercise your rights, please use the email address above.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Comments. To post a comment, you enter your name and email address (both required), your website address (optional) and your comment. When you submit it, WordPress also records your IP address, your browser’s user-agent string and the date and time. Your email address is never displayed publicly. Your name, website link and comment are published once the comment is approved.
- Saved comment details. If you tick “Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment”, WordPress stores those details in cookies on your device (see our Cookie Policy). If you don’t tick the box, these cookies are not set.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything else you choose to include.
- Pingbacks and trackbacks. If another website links to one of our posts and sends a pingback or trackback, we receive that site’s name, the address of the linking page, a short excerpt and the IP address of the server that sent it.
Please don’t include sensitive information (for example, details about your health or allergies that identify you) in a public comment.
Information collected automatically
- Hosting and security logs. Our hosting provider, Hostinger, and our content delivery and security provider, Cloudflare, process technical data whenever your browser requests a page: your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and your browser and operating system. This is necessary to deliver the site and protect it from attacks and abuse.
- Visitor statistics. We use the WordPress plugin “WP Visitor Statistics”. It stores the following on our own server: your IP address, an approximate location (such as country or city) derived from your IP address, browser, operating system, device and screen information, the referring website and search terms, the pages you view, and the time and length of your visit. Since October 16, 2026, the plugin runs in cookieless mode: it no longer places cookies on your device.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare measures page views and page-load performance with a small script. According to Cloudflare, this measurement does not use cookies or other client-side storage.
- Advertising data. Google and, where permitted, its advertising partners collect information through the ads on our pages. This can include cookies and similar identifiers, your IP address, browser and device information, the address of the page you are viewing, approximate location and your interactions with ads. See Advertising and Google AdSense.
- Consent records. Google’s consent tool stores the choices you make (for example, an IAB Transparency and Consent Framework consent string) in cookies on your device so they can be respected on later visits.
Information from third-party features
Some features on our pages are loaded from other companies’ servers. When your browser loads them, those companies receive at least your IP address, browser information and the address of the page you are visiting:
- Pinterest. The Pinterest “Save” button that appears when you hover over our images is loaded from Pinterest’s servers, and Pinterest records a log request when the script runs. Pinterest may read or set its own cookies according to the Pinterest Privacy Policy.
- Gravatar. Profile pictures next to author names and comments are provided by Gravatar, a service of Automattic. To find your picture, WordPress sends Gravatar a hashed version of the email address used. See the Automattic Privacy Policy.
- Google services. Google’s advertising and consent scripts may load fonts and other resources from Google servers (for example, fonts.googleapis.com) and run fraud-prevention checks that contact Google’s ad traffic quality systems.
- WordPress emoji. If your browser cannot display certain emoji, WordPress loads emoji images from the WordPress.org content delivery network (s.w.org).
How we use information and our legal bases
We use personal information only for the purposes below. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, data protection law requires us to explain the legal basis for each use:

We do not use your information for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for you. Google may use information to personalize ads, which is a form of profiling. You can control it as described in Your consent and advertising choices.
Advertising and Google AdSense
Homirecipes is funded by advertising served through Google AdSense, a service of Google. We use Google’s automatic ad placement (“Auto ads”). This can include ads within and between our content, anchor ads at the edge of the screen, side-rail ads, and ad formats such as shopping or “related search” links that Google generates automatically. We do not choose the individual ads you see. For more about how we handle ads, see our Disclaimer.
How Google and its partners use cookies
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or to other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Other ad technology providers and ad networks may also serve ads on our site through Google’s advertising systems, and they may use their own cookies or similar technologies. Google publishes the list of certified third-party vendors and ad networks. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland can see the partners that apply to them, and consent to or refuse each one, in Google’s consent tool.
- To learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services, read How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google’s use of cookies in advertising is explained at Google advertising technologies, and the cookies themselves are listed in Google advertising and measurement cookies.
Personalized, non-personalized and limited ads
- Personalized ads are based on information Google has collected about you over time, such as previous visits to websites.
- Non-personalized ads are not based on your past behavior. They use contextual information, such as the content of the page and your general (for example, city-level) location. They still use cookies or similar identifiers for frequency capping, aggregated ad reporting and fighting fraud and abuse.
- Limited ads can be shown when you have not consented to the use of cookies or personal data for advertising. They do not use personal data to personalize ads. Data such as your IP address is still used to deliver the ad to your device.
Which type you see depends on your location, your consent choices and your Google settings.
What advertising data can include
Depending on your choices, Google and its partners may collect or receive: cookie IDs and similar advertising identifiers, your IP address, browser type and settings, device information, the address of the page you are viewing, approximate location, the date and time of your visit, and how you interact with ads (for example, views and clicks). Google also uses information to detect invalid traffic, such as fake clicks and automated impressions. These companies process the data under their own privacy policies. See the Google Privacy Policy.
Your consent and advertising choices
Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland
We use Google’s consent management platform (Google’s “Privacy & messaging” tool). It is integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. When it applies to you, it asks for your choices before personalized advertising is used, and it lets you accept, refuse or manage the use of cookies and personal data by Google and its partners. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with the Privacy & cookie settings link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.
Visitors in US states with privacy laws
If Google’s consent tool shows you a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link, you can use it to opt out of the use of your information for personalized advertising on this site. More options are listed under Additional information for US residents.
Choices available to everyone
- Turn off personalized ads from Google in My Ad Center.
- Opt out of personalized advertising by many participating companies at www.aboutads.info.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block advertising cookies you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
Our Cookie Policy lists the cookies used on the site and explains how to manage them.
Who receives your information
We do not sell or rent personal information for money. We share or make information available only as follows:
- Service providers that run the site for us: Hostinger (web hosting) and Cloudflare (content delivery, security and web analytics). They process data on our behalf to provide their services.
- Google: for advertising, ad measurement, fraud prevention and consent management, as described above. Google uses this information as an independent controller under its own terms and privacy policy.
- Other advertising partners: ad technology providers that Google allows to serve ads on our pages, based on your choices where consent is required.
- Pinterest and Automattic (Gravatar): when your browser loads their features, as described in Information from third-party features.
- The public: your name, website link and comment text are visible once your comment is published.
- Authorities and legal claims: when we are required to by law, or when it is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or to protect the safety of others.
- A new owner: if the site is sold or transferred, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.
International data transfers
Our service providers and advertising partners operate in several countries, including the United States. Your information may therefore be processed outside your own country, in places whose data protection laws differ. Where EEA, UK or Swiss law applies, these transfers rely on an adequacy decision (for example, the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions for certified companies) or on standard contractual clauses provided by the companies involved.
How long we keep information
| Information | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Published comments | As long as the related post is online, unless you ask us to remove the comment sooner |
| Comments held for moderation or marked as spam | Until we approve or delete them |
| Comment cookies on your device | About one year (WordPress default), unless you delete them sooner |
| Visitor statistics | Only as long as needed to produce statistics about the site. After that, we delete the data or reduce it to aggregate figures |
| Hosting and security logs | According to the standard retention periods of Hostinger and Cloudflare |
| Advertising and consent cookies | Set by Google, typically up to 13 months. See our Cookie Policy |
| Emails and privacy requests | As long as needed to deal with your request and keep a record that we handled it |
Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- find out whether we hold personal information about you and get a copy of it;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- have your information deleted, for example a comment you posted;
- restrict or object to our use of your information, including uses based on our legitimate interests;
- receive information you provided to us in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing; and
- complain to a data protection authority.
To make a request, email us at the address in the How to contact us section. Please tell us which right you want to exercise and, for comment data, the name and email address you used. We may ask you to confirm your request from that email address. WordPress includes tools to export or erase the comment data linked to an email address, and these tools send a confirmation link to that address. We will reply within the time limits set by applicable law, which is generally one month under EEA and UK law.
We cannot directly access or delete information held by Google, Pinterest or other independent companies. You can manage it with the tools those companies provide, such as My Ad Center.
Complaints. If you are in the EEA, you can contact the data protection authority in your country (list of EEA authorities). In the UK, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office. In Switzerland, you can contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first.

Sale, sharing and targeted advertising
We do not sell personal information for money. - Right to delete and to correct personal information.

If you are not satisfied with the outcome of an appeal, you can contact your state Attorney General.
Children’s privacy
Homirecipes is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has posted personal information in a comment, please contact us and we will remove it.

The site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection and is protected by Cloudflare’s security network. Access to the site’s administration area is limited to authorized accounts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please remember that anything you post in a public comment can be seen by anyone.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Our site does not currently change how it works when it receives a “Do Not Track” signal from your browser, and we do not currently detect Global Privacy Control signals on our own. Google and other third parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you visit our site. You can limit this with the choices described in Your consent and advertising choices.
Links to other websites
Our posts and ads may link to websites that we do not operate. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our site, the services we use or the law changes. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will also highlight them on the site.
