BlueMaterials
Use cream yarn for the lace and petals. Use medium blue yarn for the round motifs and flower centers. Use olive or moss green for leaves. Use a 3 mm hook. Optional pearl style beads can be added to the edge.
Finished Size
A five flower runner can finish around 110 cm to 130 cm long.
Abbreviations
MR means magic ring. Ch means chain. Sl st means slip stitch. Sc means single crochet. Hdc means half double crochet. Dc means double crochet. Tr means treble crochet. Inc means increase. Dec means decrease. BLO means back loop only. FLO means front loop only.
Blue Circle
Round 1. MR and 12 dc.
Round 2. Inc around.
Round 3. 1 dc then inc. Repeat.
Round 4. 2 dc then inc. Repeat.
Round 5. 3 dc then inc. Repeat.
Round 6. Sc around.
Cream Lace Half Circle
Rows 1 to 3. Build a flat dc half circle with even increases.
Row 4. Ch 4 skip 1 dc in next stitch.
Row 5. 2 dc in each chain space.
Row 6. Ch 5 skip 2 sc in next stitch.
Row 7. 7 dc in each large chain space.
Row 8. Sc around with optional picots.
Blue Center Daisy
Round 1. With blue MR and 8 sc.
Round 2. Inc around.
Round 3. 1 sc then inc. Repeat.
Round 4. BLO sc around.
Cream Petals
Join cream to the center.
Ch 7. Sc in second chain. Hdc next. Dc in next 3. Hdc next. Sl st into the next center stitch.
Repeat to create 8 petals.
Work sc around the outer edge of every petal if you want a thicker raised flower.
Leaves
Ch 10 in olive green.
Work sc hdc 3 dc 2 tr dc hdc sc.
Work 3 sc in the tip and mirror the sequence.
Add a center vein.
Assembly
Alternate blue circles with cream lace half circles along the S shaped center. Place one cream daisy at each join. Add leaves beneath the flowers. Sew only the flower center firmly so the petals stay dimensional.
Finishing
Block the base before attaching flowers. Check that every blue circle lies flat and that the cream openwork has the same tension
