Construction
Make a long foundation chain and crochet tightly around it, using increases to encourage a corkscrew spiral.
Alternate orange and black along the spiral to reproduce the Halloween color scheme.
Crochet several small orange pumpkin balls, stuff lightly, embroider faces and add green stems.
Crochet small white ghost shapes with rounded heads and flared lower edges; add black facial details.
Crochet small black bats with a compact body and shaped wings; add contrasting eyes.
Arrange the motifs at intervals along the spiral and sew them securely in place.
Add a strong hanging loop at the top and a small orange finishing motif at the bottom.
Finishing
